The upcoming community engagement meetings will share the proposed design of the project amenities.
Join the Blueprint Intergovernmental Agency at a community meeting to share your thoughts on the proposed design of the History and Culture Trail project. Join the conversation about these new amenities to be located at the Capital Cascades Trail, on FAMU Way! A series of interpretive kiosks and artistic elements have been designed to honor and celebrate the rich African American history and culture of the neighborhoods, businesses, and people located in the communities along Capital Cascades Trail Segment 3 and FAMU Way. Through a partnership with the Council on Culture and Art (COCA), artistic installations are planned to complement the interpretive kiosks. The call for artist prospectus will open in October 2021.
Those wishing to participate in-person may do so on Tuesday, October 9 from 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. The meeting will be hosted at Walker-Ford Community Center.
