Author Heidi King shares how teens can be better writers and why it matters.
Heidi King has written many nonfiction books for adults but Saving American Beach: The Biography of African American MaVynee Betsch is her first for children. In this workshop, King shares how teens can be better writers and why it matters—even when they hate writing or think that school writing is a waste of time (sometimes it is!). She will also present a quick timeline of her process for writing and getting her book published. There will be time for a Q&A—no question off limits, especially for those starting the process for the first time.
