Chuck Cannon in Concert

Chuck Cannon in Concert

Presented by Monticello Opera House at Monticello Opera House

Born and raised in the low country of South Carolina, with ancestral roots in north Florida, Chuck Cannon’s music and stories echo the R&B, Gospel, Rock and Country influences of his southern home. He has composed hit singles for major artists such as Toby Keith and John Michael Montgomery, and has also received awards for Broadcast Music Incorporated, as well as an Academy of Country Music award for Song of the Year. A diverse array of fine artists from around the world have covered his songs, which have logged well over 25 million airplays.    Music critic Jim Simpson of No Depression calls Cannon "A masterful guitarist, his style ranged from bluesy to classical to Irish/folk, all completely compelling... Throughout the night, either singing or storytelling, Cannon often had the audience in the palm of his hand – the man is an extremely gifted artist.”
