The Challenger Learning Center will host a pre-launch party for NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope
The Challenger Learning Center (CLC) will direct all eyes skyward in November when it hosts a Pre-Launch Party for NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope. The event is scheduled for Nov. 20 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in advance of NASA’s launch of the next generation space telescope. The Pre-Launch Party will include: A free screening of the Planetarium film, “Little Star That Could” for children under 12 (accompanied by an adult). A NASA speaker (tentative). Demonstrations on the evolution of space telescopes in the Planetarium. Hands-on activities for children of all ages in Exhibit Hall. A discounted ($3.50) showing of the Planetarium film, “Exploding Universe.”
Children 12 and under are free with a paying adult for the screening of "Little Star That Could." A discounted ($3.50) screening of "Exploding Universe" is also scheduled. There is no charge for other activities.

PUBLIC PARKING
The Kleman Parking Garage is the closest public parking garage to the Challenger Learning Center (CLC). It is adjacent to the CLC on Kleman Plaza. Entrances to the Kleman Parking Garage are located on South Duval and South Bronough Streets. The rates are follows:
Additional parking is available at metered street spots and other public lots located throughout downtown Tallahassee.
Buses: Buses should pull into the bus ramp on College Ave. Enter the bus ramp by traveling South on Bronough St. and turning left onto College Ave. The bus ramp will be on the immediate right. The bus ramp is for drop off and pick up only. Parking is available at the Leon County Civic Center (free for Leon County Schools; $35 for all other buses), the Governor’s Square Mall, or in the free parking lot at the corner of Gaines Street and Duval Street.
