Florida native, Gene Hardage, a/k/a Sarasota Slim, brings an eclectic collection of stringed instruments, music and salt water blues for your boot-scootin' pleasure.  Gene has entertained folks at the jook for almost 30 years, earning one of the first table top portraits at Dave's. The band plays a unique mix of Florida swamp and backwater blues, southern soul and swing with a taste of Calypso and Reggae thrown in for good measure. Front man/song writer Gene provides the vocals and a never ending amalgamation of sounds from his guitar toy box. The band has a funky brand of Florida blues (Gene says he is "a true Florida cracker") performed by a ménage of musicians and special guests that give their shows a diverse sound. Mighty fun stuff--definitely a good time. Dancin' shoes or flip flops suggested.
