Film Debut of "Two Regimes-A Mothers Memoir of Holodomor and Holocaust"

Presented by The Center for the Advancement of Human Rights at Askew Student Life Center

The provocative film debut of "Two Regimes: A Mothers Memoir of Holodomor and Holocaust" produced by Doug Darlington of Winding Road Films Inc. will debut the  World Wide release of the Two Regimes film in education, at The Rubin Askew Student Life Center Cinema on September 21st in a unique event, from 6-9 pm. Seating is  distanced, and limited. This event will feature a dramatic live excerpt and two original songs written by music educator/composer- Diane Whitney and performed by professional actress Debra Brigman. This event will also feature a selection of the original art of Nadia Werbitzky and a banner exhibition of paintings and passages from the book "Two Regimes A Mothers Memoir of Wartime Survival" by Teodora Verbitskaya, . The famous Ukrainian song " Melody" (High Pass) was written by Myroslav Skoryk  will be performed by Benjamin Sung (FSU Associate Professor of Violin) and Marcos Pizarro (FSU Concert Piano student). Expressed permission of Duma music was granted for this performance and for the unique interpretation of this song involved in the ending credits of the film, adapted and performed by Adrian DiMatteo (Eastman School of Music, Musician, Sound Healer). A distinguished panel of experts will provide insight and Q & A opportunities and will include: Master of Ceremonies  Director of The Center for the Advancement of Human Rights Mr. Terry Coonan, Doug Darlington -Winding Road Films Inc, Dr. David Gussak FSU Professor Art Education, FSU Professor Dr. Jonathan Grant-History, and Kelly Bowen- Curator of the Two Regimes Collection.
