Hot Blues Harp with Little Mike & The Tornadoes at the Juke Joint under the stars
Little Mike & The Tornadoes blow up a storm at the BBC on Saturday, June 19. This powerhouse blues and rock n’ roll band from New York City is led by singer, songwriter, producer, and harp master, Mike Markowitz. The band is well-known for its flawless, high-energy blues sound, modeled after the great Chicago bands of the ’50s. Mike has a storied history in the blues who cut his teeth in New York City in the late 1970s and early 1980s, backing up legendary Bluesmen Pinetop Perkins, Hubert Sumlin, Bo Didley, and Jimmy Rogers. He even recorded with blues harp legends James Cotton and Paul Butterfield. Mike has since relocated to Gainesville. Mike's blues harp and the band are hotter than the Tallahassee Summer sun. A don't miss!
