Defender of Florida's Environment

Presented by Friends of Wakulla Springs State Park at Online/Virtual Space

Celebrate Earth Day 2021 with a program exploring the fascinating life of conservationist Marjorie Harris Carr (1915-1997) - who used the power of the pen and grassroots activism to protect and preserve many of north central Florida’s ecological treasures. Author/Historian Peggy Macdonald will trace Carr's early life growing up in Florida through her career in the 1950's while raising five children, and eventually becoming one of the century's leading environmental activists. Program hosted by Friends of Wakulla Springs State Park with funding provided through a grant from the Florida Humanities.  Register online at the Friends website, WakullaSprings.org to receive Zoom program link.
