Presented by Tallahassee Genealogical Society at Online/Virtual Space

Researching 19th-Century Florida Farms and Plantations by Dr. Josh Goodman

Agriculture--whether it took place on a large plantation or a small family farm--was the lifeblood of Florida commerce for much of the 19th century. Only a handful of records specifically from those plantations and family farms still exist, but genealogists have many other options for learning about their ancestors' farming pursuits.

Join historian Dr. Josh Goodman from the State Archives of Florida for a deep dive into the multitude of records available for piecing together the history of Florida's many plantations and family farms.

Sharing time is at 1:30 pm and the meeting starts at 2 pm.

Please email publicity@talgensoc.com to receive the link to register for the Zoom (virtual) meeting.
