A Community United for A Town Divided
While we cannot gather together physically at this time for a stage production of A Town Divided, we can still come together virtually for the FULL video production. A Town Divided - SSC's original production based loosely on Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet - is written from interviews and stories of Tallahassee residents and examines the racial divides in our own city. Raw, intense, and emotional, this 50-minute play invites participants to examine their own biases and prejudices in an effort to raise social awareness, increase tolerance, and bridge the divides through cross-racial dialogue. This play contains mature subject matter. This production was filmed in February 2020 in front of an audience of Tallahassee high school students. The purchase of a ticket to our A Town Divided Community Streaming Event includes complimentary access to our A Town Divided Discussion Panel, scheduled for Feb. 25th at 12:30 p.m. via Zoom.
