The Tallahassee Youth Orchestras and guest artist Avis Berry will be presenting "Justice: From Siberia to Alabama" on Sunday, February 21 at 3:00 pm. Ms. Berry will sing traditional spirituals and the song "Strange Fruit," popularized by Billie Holiday. TYO Symphony will perform Copland's "Fanfare for the Common Man" and the finale from Shostakovich Symphony #5". The concert features music suggestive of the history of humankind's inhumanity to itself and the ultimate dominance of the human spirit. TYO's Chamber Orchestra will be performing Norman Leyden's "Serenade for String Orchestra" and Intermezzo Strings will be performing Bruce Olsen's "Fado".
