Joshua Roman, one of the world’s greatest cellists, joins members of the TSO for this incredible concert.
Cellist Joshua Roman has earned an international reputation for his wide-ranging repertoire, a commitment to communicating the essence of music in visionary ways, artistic leadership and versatility. As well as being a celebrated performer, he is recognized as an accomplished composer and curator, and was named a TED Senior Fellow in 2015. He has performed on all the world’s major stages both as soloist and chamber musician, and he frequently collaborates with artists outside the music community.
A true Renaissance man, Joshua’s exciting program will take the audience on a musical journey that explores the traditional role of performer/composer and will present 3 world premieres of his own music, written during COVID quarantine. Also included is music by 3 living female composers. Rounding out the program are Baroque favorites by the Bachs (J.S. & C.P.E.) and the Vivaldi concerto for 2 cellos, where he'll be joined by TSO Principal Cellist Gregory Sauer.
Tickets are just $25 per household. There are many ways to view the concert and a help guide is on our website here: https://www.tallahasseesymphony.org/ways-to-watch-tso-live/. We love our new ROKU channel and recommend using that if ROKU is in your wheelhouse, but a laptop is fine, too!
