Fall for Art Exhibit by Pines & Palms

Presented by Pines & Palms: The Georgia-Florida Artists Association at Thomas County Public Library

The long anticipated annual member's art show Fall For Art opened Friday, August 28th The work is in the Flipper Room at the Thomas County Library in the historic downtown area.

First Prize Pat Otto for Mattie for All Tressed Up, colored pencil Second Prize Karen Stewart for Cherries and Lace, oil on canvas Third Prize Steven Walker for Early to Work, oil Honorable Mentions Cindy Inamn for Into Autumn, Act and paper Marilyn Antram for Old Georgia Smoke House, Oil Luke NeSmith for Bob in Profile, Oil Natalie Andreeva for Busy Life, Oil Tracy Foutz Hunt for Squelette de Galicia, Watercolor on architectural Paper Mary O Smith, for River Reflections, Oil More than 80 pieces of artwork are on display,many by award-winning members. For the first time, you can see and buy the work on our website. Simply enter the online gallery here For more information contact Sandi Shaw at GoArtists@PinesandPalms.org.    Library hours are Monday-Friday 9:30 to 6:00 PM, and Saturday from 9:30 to 3:3 PM, closed on Sunday. The library is located at 201 North Madison St. The show runs through November 28. Thank you to judges, Annette Crosby and Ron Thomson. It was a hard task with so many outstanding pieces of art!  Annette is an abstract artist from Valdosta and Ron is a well-known wildlife artist here in Thomasville. Thank you to the Georgia Council for the Arts for funding to help us keep art events accessible during the Covid-19 virus pandemic.
