Salute To Essential Workers

Salute To Essential Workers

Presented by Anderson Brickler Gallery at Anderson Brickler Gallery

Salute to Essential Workers is a community outreach through an Art In Public Places project to highlight the message of service through a limited edition of art posters. The artwork  titled "Knitting Party" by William H. Johnson dates 1941-1942.  It is an example of service with the Red Cross by African American nurses after WWII.  This image is significant in the medical history of American art.

The message below is shared with the historical artwork of William H. Johnson.  The ABG, Anderson Brickler Gallery express an outreach to the local Tallahassee community and nationwide during the crisis of COVID-19 pandemic. The limited edition poster is visible      around town and shared with the local community at various locations.
