POSTPONED - El Gato Sin Amigos (The Nobody Likes Me Cat)

POSTPONED - El Gato Sin Amigos (The Nobody Likes Me Cat)

Presented by Monticello Opera House at Monticello Opera House

This children's play is based on a short story by Cuban writer Teresita Gómez Vallejo, adapted for theater by Joe Rosenberg. Our guest director Ben Gunter has given the play a contemporary, Florida feel that make it a delightful experience for Spanish and non-Spanish speaking audiences.

El Gato Sin Amigos tells the story of Rufo, a lazy cat looking for friends to talk and play with, but unfortunately they are not always available. In his effort to find friends, he’ll meet some animals from Florida: a manatee, an anhinga, and a Florida panther, who will show him that he can find a balance and enjoy a happy and productive life with many friends.

This is an interactive play where children will be able to sing, learn words in different languages, and engage in Rufo’s adventure. Come to the beautiful Monticello Opera House and enjoy this fun play!
