Tallahassee Museum Summer Camp 2020

Tallahassee Museum Summer Camp 2020

Presented by Tallahassee Museum at Tallahassee Museum

We are so excited to bring a new approach to our 2020 summer camp program! Don’t worry, we’ll maintain our nature-based education method, which includes a healthy balance of indoor and outdoor time and implements hands-on immersive nature experiences. As a nature-based camp program, each week-long summer session will introduce concepts concerning our natural world today. As a camp team, students will work together to find solutions to some of the issues at hand.  We have invited experts in the fields of water conservation, bee keeping, agriculture and farming, as well as in areas of tourism to share the work they do and how it all relates to the natural wonders of the Florida landscape.  This year we’ll apply our hands-on immersive experiences, as well as the lessons learned from our guest speakers in the development of an end of week collaborative project for each week-long session of camp.
