Hallway is a solo art exhibition by William Leech, a current BFA student at Florida State University. The work on display will invite you to envelope yourself in a corridor of large, abstract paintings that each engage with a different aspect of the artist’s mental space. Sometimes anxious, sometimes tranquil, but constantly looming, each painting bears a history of being erased and scrubbed and repainted until the paper begins to fray and tear. Accompanying the work on display will be a performance piece engaging in the same themes, this time inviting the viewer to be a witness to the process of creation and destruction behind each painting.
