Join Thomasville Landmarks and the Thomasville History Center for a fascinating evening of fame, controversy, and history. Back by popular demand, Richard Rene Silvin, author of the acclaimed memoir, NOBLESSE OBLIGE: The Duchess of Windsor as I knew her. Born in New York, René Silvin grew up in Switzerland. After graduating from Georgetown University in 1970 and receiving his MBA from Cornell in 1972, he spent 25 years in the investor-owner hospital industry. He rose to the head of the International Division of American Medical International, Inc. in Paris where he met and developed a trusted relationship with the Duchess, even serving as her escort to numerous events in Paris before her death. In a riveting lecture and presentation, Silvin will describe his intimate personal friendship with the Duchess and reveal, "untold details about the Windsors, and several of their friends' infamous and dramatic lives."

2 ticket options are available: Option 1- $25 per person: Your evening begins at 5:30 pm with an intimate Wine and Cheese reception followed by Rene's riveting lecture and presentation in Thomas University's Flowers Auditorium.

Option 2- $100 per person: Your evening continues with a private dinner at 7:30 pm with Rene at Glen Arven Country Club (reception and presentation included)

Additional time info:

Prior to the lecture, enjoy a wine and cheese reception with Rene in Thomas University's Smith Bonvillian Hall. Immediately following the lecture will be an optional private dinner with Rene at Glen Arven Country Club. Dinner reservations must be made in advance.

From 11:00 to 1:00, Rene will be signing copies of all five of his books at The Bookshelf in downtown Thomasville.
