Christopher Kimball has written three books on the Seminole Wars: Seminole & Creek War Battles & Events lists all the battles and events of the wars. The Army and Navy Chronicle, Seminole War Guide, 1835-1844 is a synopsis of news articles and eyewitness accounts during the war printed in the journal known as the Army and Navy Chronicle. And the latest, Alachua Ambush, Bloody Battles of the 2nd Seminole War, focuses on gripping events around Micanopy and Alachua County, Florida, in 1840-1841, and includes many letters and news articles that have not been reprinted since that time.

After earning a degree in Public Administration, Kimball served as a Sergeant in the Army Adjutant General Corps, where he learned to navigate the system of administration and paperwork in the Army. This proved invaluable for research of Seminole War History.

Kimball became active in historical living history presentation of the Seminole War from 1812 to 1859, recreating Seminole clothing, writing articles, newsletters, web pages, and even assisting with museum exhibits.

Robert Buccellato, the author of Florida Governors: The Lasting Legacies and Jimmy Carter in Plains, shines light on a forgotten time of bootlegged liquors, corrupt rural sheriffs, crafty moonshiners, and panhandle traditions that date back centuries in his one of his latest books, Rumrunners and Moonshiners of Old Florida. Most recently, Buccellato has published Titanic Sinking: No Lives Lost, presenting, with images, artwork, and banner headlines, a glimpse of the frantic global shock wave that the titanic disaster ignited. This visual glimpse into that night tells one of the last unexplored stories about the disaster. Here told in their own words, revealed in their very images, showcased in their artistry, is the journalistic presentation of the Titanic disaster.

Buccellato was the historian for the Clerk of Courts for Leon County, a position created for him, between 2015-2017. He currently lives in Tallahassee with his wife Stephanie and their sons.
