Arts and Culture Days at the Capitol

Presented by Florida Division of Cultural Affairs and Council on Culture & Arts (COCA) at Florida State Capitol

The Council on Culture & Arts (COCA) is partnering with the Florida Department of State, Division of Cultural Affairs, and Leon County Schools to host Arts and Culture Week at the state capitol during the 2020 legislative session.

This annual advocacy celebration will feature the annual Chalk Walk event as well as live performances from local arts students and teacher and info booths from local arts organizations.

From 9:00am until 2:00pm, you can learn about area cultural organizations; enjoy music, theater, dance and more; and watch as local high school students create chalk artworks inspired by Florida artists. All the festivities will take place in the "Waller Park" area of the capitol building (outdoor area facing Duval Street).

Come out to congratulate everyone involved and show our 2020 state legislators that you support arts and culture!
