Historic Mills of Franklin County: History Program

Presented by Carrabelle History Museum at C-Quarters Marina

The Carrabelle History Museum is presenting an interesting history program about the Historic Sawmills of Franklin County, featuring Gibby Conrad. Hear the fascinating tales of the most prosperous times in Franklin county, and the lives of the hard-working families who labored in the huge mills. This free program will be held Saturday, January 25, 2020, from 10 am - 12 pm at C-Quarters Marina, 501 St. James Ave (Hwy 98), Carrabelle, FL.

Gibby Conrad is a lifelong student of Gulf Coast maritime history, a pioneer of ecotourism on the Apalachicola Estuary, and a former museum educator. He has conducted entertaining educational tours on the Apalachicola River and Bay for over 10 years.

Mark Curenton of the Apalachicola Area Historical Society will also be joining this program with his phenomenal display of Sawmills of Franklin County and will also be participating in the Q&A session at the end of the program.
