Author Signing: Richard Rene Silvin

Presented by The Bookshelf at The Bookshelf

Join us for a book signing with Richard Rene Silvin, a devoted historian and frequent visitor to Thomasville. He’ll be signing copies of all five of his books: Noblesse Oblige, The Duchess of Windsor As I Knew Her; Villa Mizner, The House that Changed Palm Beach; Normandie, The Tragic Story of the Most Majestic Ocean Liner; I Survived Swiss Boarding Schools; and Walking the Rainbow.
Born in New York to an American mother and a French father, Richard René Silvin grew up in Switzerland and returned to the United States to attend college. After graduation, he worked at a hospital design and management consulting firm in Washington, DC, and after surviving late-stage cancer in the 90s, he took up writing as a retirement hobby. However, since then, he has published five books, and lectures extensively about a myriad of topics, ranging from the Duchess of Windsor to the history of Mar-a-Lago.
