Midtown Reader’s December Story Slam will be themed “Bright”! Submit your work by November 29th for a chance to participate, or just come enjoy hearing fresh work from local writers.
The theme for our December Story Slam is "Bright!"
Midtown Reader's Story Slam series is an opportunity for local writers to share their work with our community of Tallahassee writers and readers. Writers should send in 600 words or less on the theme by November 29th to be considered to read at the event on Thursday, December 5th!
Laurel Lathrop is our Story Slam judge and emcee. Laurel is a PhD candidate in creative writing at FSU, where she also teaches composition, literature, and creative writing. A California native, she misses the West Coast but has grown to love Tallahassee. When she's not writing her dissertation or working at Midtown Reader, she sings in the Tallahassee Community Chorus.
