Unique arts and crafts perfect for gift giving and a visit from Santa make this festival a special day in historic downtown Sopchoppy on Dec. 14. Enjoy the Big Bend Model Railroad Assn. who will be running their trains to add to the event.
Join in our Christmas celebration in Sopchoppy on December 14th from 9am to 4pm. For more than 15 years, the Christmas in Sopchoppy Festival has been a favorite venue for gift shopping and for visits with Santa at Christmastime. This year the Big Bend Model Railroad Assn. will set up and run their trains near the old Sopchoppy train depot building downtown. This fun festival is set in historic downtown Sopchoppy at the Sopchoppy Depot Park and offers unique local and regional arts and crafts including locally harvested tupelo honey, handcrafted leather goods, original hand-crocheted items, custom woodwork, handmade knives, vintage collectibles, native and cultivated plants including locally grown ginger and turmeric plants, Lions Club brooms, collectible rocks, jewelry, antiques, books, pottery, specialty handcrafted soaps and body butters, holiday decorations, birdhouses and much more.
Choose the perfect and unique holiday gift as you stroll through the artist's booths in the downtown Sopchoppy Depot Park, and spend some time visiting with Santa in the old train depot across the street from the Depot Park. We’ll have great food, including local seafood, pulled pork, Bradley's sausage, hotdogs, greens and cornbread, and soups. There will be holiday music all day. The festival is from 9am to 4pm. Santa will be in the train depot from 11am to 2pm. Come and enjoy the artisan's offerings, take a break for lunch and eat under the huge oak tree (picnic tables are available) and make it a way to get truly into the Christmas spirit.
