Slam Allen, The Soul Working Man, comes in from upstate New York to grace the corner stage with his dynamic soul, blues and R&B offerings to kick off a weekend of blues at its best! Slam is a real deal flashback of the 60’s style of gut bucket, string bending blues player with deep-seeded heartfelt vocals that ooze with soul. He adeptly blends the Memphis sounds of Stax with the stirring vocals of Otis Redding and the crying blues guitar of BB King. He’s no stranger to the club starting with his own band in the Dave’s CC era followed by two BBC shows as the singer and guitarist for James Cotton and other shows with is own band.
