Stuart Woods is the author of the Stone Barrington series of books and more than seventy novels and sixty consecutive hardcover bestsellers. His 1981 debut, CHIEFS, won the Edgar Award and was adapted into a miniseries for CBS starring Charlton Heston, Danny Glover, Billy Dee Williams and John Goodman. An avid sailor and pilot, Woods lives in Florida, Maine, and New Mexico.
