Join Landmarks at historic Chinquapin Plantation for dinner, cocktails, and live music.
Enjoy a Mediterranean-inspired dinner from the bluff overlooking the Ochlocknee. Built as a winter residence in 1910 by John D. Archbold, director and treasureer of Standard Oil, Chinquapin Plantation has long maintained its stately presence among Thomas County's greatest architectural treasures. This Mediterranean Revival villa, with formal gardens at front, is distinct unto itself.
Chinquapin gained new prominence when the "Walt DIsney of Europe," Rolf P. Kauka, took ownership in 1983. With his wife, Alexandra, the Kaukas began renovating and restoring the plantation. Recently sold, over the years the plantation has seen changes to the property. However, the new owners are keen to sensitively rehabilitation the house and grounds.
Tickets are $75 per person, and registration is required.
