Archives After Dark: Extended Hours and Presentation

Presented by State Archives of Florida at State Archives of Florida

October is American Archives Month, and all month long the State Archives is celebrating our spooky theme, Tales From the Archives, with events that bring to light our darker side.

On October 29, Crypt Keepers (also known as archivists and librarians) will be available to answer research questions, pull archival materials, and direct you to the presentation titled “Documenting the Dearly Departed: Records for Family History Research.” In this presentation, Archives Historian Dr. Josh Goodman will use records from our collections to demonstrate the types of information found within death records and how to use them in genealogical and historical research. The presentation will take place from 6 to 7 p.m.
