Good Samaritan UMC's Third Annual World Culture Festival

Good Samaritan UMC's Third Annual World Culture Festival

Presented by Good Samaritan United Methodist Church at Good Samaritan United Methodist Church

Join us for delicious cuisine, exciting performances, unique shopping experiences, and free classes at Tallahassee’s third annual World Culture Festival. Featuring food, artists, faith, and performances which showcase traditions from around the world, this family-friendly event has something for everyone. This festival is a celebration of the human existence and the diversity of our local area and offers the chance for the entire community to come together to celebrate their differences and discover their similarities.

One of the most powerful ways to share culture is through art, craft, and food. Tables offering information about various religious and cultural beliefs and practices, as well as craft vendors showcasing art, music, and food from around the world will be part of the event. This festival provides an opportunity for people of all ages to learn about faiths, philosophies, and cultures different from their own through interaction. The focus is on information and education, not condemnation or conversion.

Expressions of culture and belief vary across the globe and the World Culture Festival showcases these traditions in the greater Tallahassee area by bringing together local dancers, singers, poets, musicians, and storytellers to share their talents. Performances and interactive engagements will be scheduled all day so enjoy the performances or jump in for a class!

Last year’s participants included the the FAMU Gospel Choir, the Matsiko World Orphan Choir, Sambistas Do Sol, Dandera Dancers, Temple Israel’s Bagels and Biscuits, Shirdi Sai Samsthan, Azúcar Dance Company, Swaravahini, Mua’oli’oli Dancers, Gym Force Aerial Arts, Tallahassee Irish Step Dancers, Arte Mexico, Mary Proctor, El Criollo Grill, Faith4You African Food, Caribbean Crossroads, Two Feathers Indian Center, La Gardenia Prints, and many more.
