Panhandle-based high-grade bluegrass outfit. Serving up barn burners as well as soulful ballads, this trio has sophisticated selections to wet your whistle.

Patrick and Carrie Carlton and Pete Knowlton share a desire to play fine acoustic music. Arranging their favorite tunes to be smooth and dynamic, their selections resonate with audiences throughout the Panhandle and Big Bend region. Patrick's aged Martin guitar will catch your eye, while his tone and phrasing may make you hush your neighbor so you can listen. Pete, an accomplished multi-instrumentalist with experience in many genres, earned a college degree in double bass performance and certainly has a slew of enlightened ideas to express on it. Carrie graduated from the musical school of hard knocks, developing her own style on the mandolin by attending bluegrass jam sessions in the Tallahassee area. All three members contribute vocals and enjoy creating a sound for each song that highlights their particular, southern flavor. You will hear traditional and contemporary bluegrass covers, classic swing tunes, and original compositions. If you like what you hear and wish to buy the band a drink, make it Top Shelf!
