The Tallahassee Swing Band will celebrate its 30^th anniversary of Tuesday dances at the American Legion on Tuesday, July 16. The band first began its weekly Tuesday dances at the American Legion in July 1989. The band got its start in the 1970's with the sole purpose of keeping alive the music of the big band era.

The band will dedicate its July 16 performance to its leader/conductor Elliot Toole, who passed away on June 12, 2019.

The American Legion is located at 229 Lake Ella Drive in Tallahassee (tel. 850-222-3382).

The dance will be held from 7:30 – 10:00 p.m. and admission is $6.
