On July 16, 1969, the Apollo 11 mission launched from the Kennedy Space Center. Fifty years later, Florida celebrates the remarkable influence our state has had on space travel.
Join the Museum of Florida History as Michelle Sunset, Exhibits Manager at Florida Historic Capitol Museum, presents Florida-specific stories about the naming of Cape Canaveral/Kennedy Space Center, the relationship between NASA and Disney, and astronaut John Young. She will also discuss the Florida Historic Capitol Museum’s temporary exhibit, The Moon, Stars, and Sunshine State.
Please note the Museum is currently seeking a new operator for the café and food is not available for purchase at this time. Food and drink are not permitted in the Museum theater.
