Join us for a family-friendly event that promotes the art and tradition of storytelling from the heart of North Florida, Madison.
Join us for two days of storytelling fun, Friday and Saturday, November 15-16.
Friday night will be our first story slam/contest. If you have a story to tell, then tell it on our stage and maybe you will win the big cash prizes. Then the next day, be at the "cattle barn" at 10:00 AM for the beginning of a wonderful day of stories.
Hear our guest, Michael Reno Harrell from North Carolina tell/sing stories about the people and stories of the South - Southern Appalachia. Also, you can hear stories from regional tellers: Susan Broland of Dothan, Alabama; Holly Bebernitz of Jacksonville, Florida; and Nancy Case of Gainesville, Florida. But wait, you will hear even more stories from local adult tellers and student tellers.
At noon you will have the opportunity to tell your own 5-min story on the Open Stage. No judging, no critique. Just put your name in the hat and see if your name gets called. All stories have to be family-friendly and non-political.
We will have refreshments available and so many stories for you to hear. You will be glad you came.
