31st Arts in Gadsden Member-Guest Reception and Awards Ceremony.
Join us for an exciting evening celebrating the creative work of our region's most gifted artists, and congratulating the award winners of the 31st Art in Gadsden Juried Exhibition. This year, a record 113 artists applied to be represented in Art in Gadsden. From those exhibited, Anne E. Gilroy, the curator of exhibitions at The Galleries at the Historic Thomas Center in Gainesville Florida, will select award winners. Ms. Gilroy has been a life-long student of art and art history, has taught workshops, juried exhibitions, and authored the 2017 catalogue, Mr. Eddy Lives – The Art & Life of Eddy Mumma, in conjunction with producing Inside/Outside, the first solo exhibit of Mumma’s work. Gilroy still works in the studio as a painter.
Art in Gadsden reached its 30th year in 2018, a milestone for the museum as this was the foundation for the Gadsden Arts Center & Museum. This exhibition draws visitors and patrons from across the region each year, and is an exciting opportunity for regional artists to share their work and for Gadsden Arts to celebrate the creativity within our community.
