The Turning Pointe Series is The Tallahassee Ballet’s Summer Intensive Workshop program designed to provide in-depth professional training opportunities for the experienced dancer. Faculty and staff of The Tallahassee Ballet – along with special guest artists and master teachers – provide a full range of excellent dance training in ballet, repertoire, pointe, classical variations, contemporary, hip-hop and body conditioning. Classes focus on proper alignment and posture of classical dance, with an emphasis on musicality, style and expression.
Young Dancemaker’s Workshop (Dancers ages 11-14) July 27-31 & August 3-7, 2020, 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Tuition $700. The Young Dancemaker’s Workshop includes four classes a day: Ballet Technique, Contemporary/Jazz/Hip Hop, Repertory, and Conditioning/Pilates.
Pointe for Young Dancemaker’s (Dancers ages 12+*) July 27-31 & August 3-7, 2020, 2:30-3:30 p.m. Tuition $300. Intensive class for dancers who are at least 12 years old with at least one full year of pointe training. Students will be engaged in a serious study of ballet terminology, proper execution of intermediate steps, and various classical enchainment. Requirement: Must be enrolled in Young Dancemaker’s Workshop. *Younger TTB company members may attend by invitation only.
Advanced Dancemaker’s Workshop (Dancers ages 15+) July 27-31 & August 3-7, 2020, 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Tuition $700. The Advanced Dancemaker’s Workshop includes five dance classes a day: Conditioning/Pilates, Ballet Technique, Ballet Repertory, Jazz/Contemporary, and Hip-hop. Dancers will be challenged with the most intense program of instruction. This is a rigorous workshop for the most serious of dance students. Health & Safety Guidelines:

• Temperatures are taken on arrival. 
• Masks are worn during class with social distancing.
• Dancers stay in their classrooms for the duration.
• They should come dressed and with water bottles as the dressing room and water fountain are closed.
• Call for availability as class sizes are limited.
