The Big Bend Community Orchestra has been making music for over 25 years. Come join us for this celebratory event! The concert is free and open to the public.
Founded in 1994, the Big Bend Community Orchestra (BBCO) provides opportunities for community musicians to learn and play orchestral music together. Ginny Densmore, one of the founding members, will be featured in a Clarinet Concerto by Weber. We will also have several alumni joining us for this momentous occasion.
The orchestra consists of more than fifty volunteer musicians and includes professionals, homemakers, music teachers, retirees, and students. Children in the audience are given the opportunity to come on stage to see and hear the instruments “up close and personal.”
This concert will feature works from Gershwin, Shubert, Dvorak, and Saint-Saens. The BBCO is under the direction of Dr. Shelby Chipman.
Concert is free and open to the public.
