VisionsĀ is a recurring exhibition series that celebrates and features the work of graduating FAMU Fine Arts students.
The Foster-Tanner Fine Arts Gallery is pleased to present the Visions: Graduating Senior Exhibition from April 8 - May 3, 2019. The opening reception will be held in The Foster-Tanner Fine Arts Gallery on Thursday, April 11, from 5:30 - 7:30 PM. Visions is a recurring exhibition series that celebrates and features the work of graduating FAMU Fine Arts students. This semester our graduating seniors are Stephanie Smith (Jacksonville, FL), Shante Griffin (Cartersville, GA and Orlando, FL), and Kaiyla Thompson (Raleigh, NC).
Visions provide FAMU graduating seniors with an opportunity to create, curate, and present their artwork as the culmination of their undergraduate careers. Stephanie, Shante, and Kaiyla will collectively present an interactive station entitled Worlds of Affirmation. This work asks viewers to consider the truths the artists have shared, and to share their own.
The graduating seniors will each do a gallery talk for their respective exhibitions during the opening reception. Light refreshments will be served.
Free and open to the public.
