Robert Macomber, Author of Honoring the Enemy

Presented by Midtown Reader at Midtown Reader

Macomber’s appearance celebrates Honoring The Enemy, which is his 14th maritime thriller. This newest in the Honor Series, set in the period of the Spanish-American War, covers from June 1898 to mid-July 1898 and centers on Tampa, Florida and Oriente, Cuba. Epic events happened in such a short time!

Honoring The Enemy and his earlier novels convey the real stories and complex qualities of human nature, cloaked in the nuances of the late 19th century. Inspired by actual events, these page-turners help us live history and remember truths which should never be forgotten. Each reader feels the powerful, you-are-there impact.

Over the years, Macomber has been the recipient of the Patrick D. Smith Literary Award, the American Library Association’s W.Y. Boyd Literary Award and the Florida Book Award, to name a few.
