Plein Air Painting

Fee: $125 LeMoyne members; $135 Non-members

Plein Air is the act of painting outdoors. This class will work in the LeMoyne garden and buildings in the surrounding neighborhood. Students will create paintings using acrylics and an easel made for outdoor use. Beginning students will learn the basics of acrylic painting and more advanced students will be encouraged to work more independently, with feedback from the instructor. Participants learn about color theory, composition, glazing, and other painting techniques. This method contrasts with studio painting or academic rules that might create a predetermined look.

This class will be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather.
