The exhibition features limited edition small scale die-cast 20th century Coca Cola trucks used for advertising from one of the largest private collections in the region.
In the 20th century, Coca-Cola became part of the fabric of American life. For over 70 years, Coca-Cola remained at a fixed 5ยข for a glass or bottle, which, combined with active advertising made it widely popular. For decades, the Coca-Cola corporation and bottlers distributed limited edition small scale die-cast iron trucks for advertising in communities. In addition to trucks, The Coca-Cola Company was featured on toys and games, dolls, trucks, bikes, scooters, trains, and board games. Gadsden Arts is pleased to display these trucks and cars dating from the 1930-1960s, on loan from one of the largest private collections in the region.
Exhibition admission: $10 for nonmember adults (includes Norman Rockwell in the 1960s exhibition); Free for Gadsden Arts Center & Museum members, Free for children ages 17 and under. The ArtZone and Fletcher Museum Shop are always admission-free.
