Join the Innocence Project of Florida and film maker Ty Flowers for a screening and discussion of the film “Time Simply Passes,” at All Saints Cinema!
A film about a historic wrongful conviction case here in Florida, the case of James Joseph Richardson. Richardson was wrongfully convicted in 1968 for the murder of his seven children. He spent 21 years on death row before miraculous circumstances led to his conviction being overturned. For 48 years, Richardson fought for justice and answers. We take this opportunity to bring light to his story and those who helped fight for his freedom.
2015. Documentary. 54 Minutes.
There will be a panel discussion after the screening with State Representative Geraldine Thompson, Public Policy Expert and Lobbyist Richard Pinsky, and Filmmaker Ty Flowers that will illuminate the history of wrongful convictions in our state, and evaluate how Florida has evolved, both politically and socially, since the time of this conviction
