Stompin' at the Savoy!
This is an evening jazz concert featuring the Florida A&M University Jazz Ensemble and Essential Theatre in a night club setting. The Foster-Tanner band building at FAMU will be transformed into a likeness of the Savoy Ballroom in Harlem, New York complete with waiters, waitresses, bartenders and an assortment of characters. Audience members are encouraged to dress in "Harlem Nights" style attire and engage in the atmosphere. The concert will feature instrumental, vocal and dance performances with audience participation. Come dressed in your best 1940's attire and be ready to dance. You don't want to miss this one.
