Goodwood's Untold Story at Cline's Cabin

Goodwood's Untold Story at Cline's Cabin

Presented by Goodwood Museum & Gardens at Goodwood Museum and Gardens

Goodwood and the Panhandle Archaeological Society of Tallahassee (PAST) present a lecture on Frank Cline. Cline lived and worked at Goodwood's property for several years. Archival evidence indicates that Frank Cline was born into slavery, but managed to achieve a remarkable degree of financial success by the time he died in 1931. In early 2018, an area surrounding "Cline's Cabin" was excavated and several items were found that relate to Cline's daily life, giving us a window into his world.

Attend this presentation to learn more about what PAST found during the excavation and how this might further develop our understanding of Frank Cline.

This program will be held at Goodwood Museum & Gardens in Jubilee Cottage. Feel free to bring your lunch or get takeout from the Rev Cafe.
