TFS is presenting this film in memory of a world renowned actress, Julie Adams, who just recently passed this month at the age of 92. Come celebrate her and the 65th anniversary of this classic horror film with us!
A scientific expedition searching for fossils along the Amazon River discovers a prehistoric Gill-Man in the legendary Black Lagoon. The explorers capture the mysterious creature, but it breaks free. The Gill-Man returns to kidnap the lovely Kay, fiancée of one in the expedition, with whom it has fallen in love with.
For all the locals, "Creature from the Black Lagoon" was actually filmed, in part, at Wakulla Springs in 1953 (now Wakulla Springs State Park)!
