Curated by R & V Art House, Voices from the Land of Polo is a visual art exhibition of over 30 contemporary artists at 621 Gallery on February 1st, 5 pm to 8 pm for the First Friday at Railroad Square Art Park. The artworks are from Manipur, a state in the northeastern part of India. Manipur is unique in culture, tradition, language and food, very different from what people think of when they imagine India. It is also known famously as the birthplace of the game of modern polo. This collection represents the Manipuri people and important social and environmental issues in the state. This exhibition will be the first time that Tallahassee will see such a large collection of artworks and art styles from northeastern India. Entrance to the exhibition is free.
