University Wind Orchestra

The FSU College of Music invites you to join Professor Richard Clary and the University Wind Orchestra in Ruby Diamond Concert Hall on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at 7:30 p.m.  The Wind Orchestra is the top graduate wind band. They engage in professional level study of wind literature important to contemporary performing practices. The Wind Orchestra's campus performances are supplemented by periodic tours, selected artist concert series, conventions, and conference appearances. The program for this concert will include Capriccio for Band by Mel Powell (1923-1998), Sinfonia No. 4 by Walter Hartley (1927-2016), Masquerade Variations on a Theme of Sergei Prokifiev by Stephen Gryc (b. 1949), Sea Drift by Anthony Iannaccone (b.1943), and Concertino, Op. 94 by Dmitri Shostakovich (1906-1975), arr. Singleton.

This performance is free and open to the public.

Parking Info

General parking is available in the St. Augustine Garage located on the corner of Pensacola and Copeland Streets, and the Call Street Garage located on corner of Call and Macomb Streets. Accessible parking is available at the North Entrance of Ruby Diamond Concert Hall and along Convocation Way. The accessible entrance drop-off area is located at the north entrance of Ruby Diamond (the roundabout) and may be accessed by Convocation Way. Elevators are available to take patrons to the appropriate floor. Ushers will help direct patrons to the elevators.
