Scherezade Garcia is an interdisciplinary visual artist born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and based in New York. In her work she explores the history of colonization and issues of migration in public memory. She is a faculty member at the Parsons School of Design, and her work can be seen in the collections of the Smithsonian American Art Museum, El Museo del Barrio in New York, and the Museum of Modern Art in Santo Domingo. Exhibition dates: January 7-31, 2019. All exhibitions and events are free and open to the public.

Museum hours are Monday-Friday 9-4pm and Saturday and Sunday 1-4pm. The Museum will be closed on January 21 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. There will be an opening reception on Friday, January 11 from 6-8pm and an Artist Talk on January 31 at 7pm in room 249 of the Fine Arts Building.
