We’re eager to bring back poetry and storytelling to the Pavilions at MFB, and we welcome you to come in on Tuesday December 4th beginning at 7:00pm. Sign up on arrival for a ten-minute spot to share your original poetry, prose, or story or bring a selection from your favorite poet/author. Or come make a new friend, and just listen.

Admission is free, and during the event, all cash and credit card purchases will be 10% off, and poetry books will be 15% off.

We are thrilled to be featuring K.M. Clark as our special guest! Clark has been writing poetry and capturing light and shadows in photography since high school and is a third-generation photographer. She gets her inspiration from the beauty of North Florida. Many of her poems have been published in anthologies, and her photography has been displayed in many galleries in North Florida, including Tallahassee City Hall and FSU Museum of Fine Arts. We’re excited to also be featuring her photography at My Favorite Books through the month of December!

Our host, Linda Marie, holds an MFA in painting with a minor in Women’s Studies from the University of South Florida, and a BFA from the University of Hawaii. She is a symbolist painter, writer, poet, and playwright, and offers intuitive readings using two divination decks of her own creation. Linda Marie’s poetry has been published in The Texas Observer, Hawaii Review, Blue Hole, and Enigmatist among other poetry publications, and was nominated for a Pushcart Prize. Before moving to Tallahassee recently, she was the host of Austin Poetry Society’s monthly poetry venue for 6 years. She is excited to be the new host of My Favorite Books’ poetry and storytelling open mic, and is looking forward to meeting and introducing many local poets, storytellers, and writers.
