Meet the artists and enjoy refreshments during the opening reception event celebrating Photofest 2018.
A free, public reception and awards announcement is scheduled for Friday, November 16th from 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm. Guests are asked to park in short-term parking and present parking tickets at the gallery for complimentary validation. Awards will be announced at 6:30.
From breathtaking landscapes to mind-bending altered images, the Photofest 2018 exhibition features fine art photographs by forty local artists. The artworks were selected by a volunteer jury comprised of accomplished fine artists who reviewed the submitted images and selected work for exhibition. There were more than 240 individual artworks submitted by 84 artists, the most competitive year in the history of this exhibition. The artists selected to display artwork in this year's show are:
Amy Brooks, Tammy Brown, Viet Bui, Riko Carrion, Steve Coleman, James Daniels, George Dawson, Kira Derryberry, Carolyn Flowers, Gigi Gaulin, Elizabeth George, David Gilbertson, Gregg Gleason, Philip Gornicki, Alexa Harkness, Ghita Heidt, William Horn, Dennis Howard, Bill Humphries, Carter Magar, Mary Rae Mahler, Lee McHugh, Timothy Moore, Adieren Narro, Maxim Nasab, Stewart Nelson, Ross Obley, Erica Perez, Kent Putnam, Roger Raepple, Peter Render, Michael Riffle, Glenn Swan, Kevin Taylor, Jean Thelander, Walter Thorner, Randy Traynor, Mark Wallheiser, Richard Weber, and Samantha Wever.

The exhibition continues through January 14, 2019 and is one of many rotating exhibitions curated by the Council on Culture & Arts on behalf of the City of Tallahassee as part of the Art in Public Places program.
