FAMU ARTalks: “The Grid Comes Full Circle: Artist As Teacher, Teacher As Artist”

Presented by Foster-Tanner Fine Arts Gallery at FAMU Foster-Tanner Fine Arts Gallery

Please join us Monday, October 22 from 12:15 pm - 1:15 pm for an ARTalk series with Terry K. Hunter, curator of the current exhibition "The Grid Comes Full Circle: Drawings and Prints by Students of Terry K. Hunter."

“The Grid Comes Full Circle: Artist As Teacher, Teacher As Artist”
will be an artist talk and walk with Terry K. Hunter through the Foster-Tanner Fine Arts Gallery and his exhibition, "The Grid Comes Full Circle." This 'talk and walk' will highlight the relationship between Hunter's work as an artist and how it impacts his role as a teacher, and conversely, how there is a reciprocal relationship between teaching approach(es) and how it effects decisions and choices made in the artist studio.

Terry K. Hunter is a distinguished alumnus of the Florida A&M University Fine Arts Program and has been an artist-educator for over 45 years. "The Grid Comes Full Circle" is on view at the Foster-Tanner Fine Arts Gallery and highlights works created under Hunter's instruction between 1977 - 2010.

This event is free and open to the public.
